Nikitenko Pyotr Georgievich is a scientist-economist. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2000; corresponding member since 1994), Doctor of Economics (1991), Professor (1991). In 1998–2010 - Director of the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and simultaneously from 2002 to 2009. - Academic Secretary of the Department of Humanities and Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, member of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus. Since 2010, Advisor to the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus. Scientific works - in the field of national security, public administration and construction, scientific, technical, innovative development, improving the efficiency of accumulation of capital, funds and the intensification of social production. Studies on the problems of accumulation and effectiveness of social reproduction from the perspective of the economic relationship between nature, man and society are a contribution to the development of the theory, methodology and methodology of sustainable development in the regional-industrial aspect. He developed an economic and mathematical macro model of social reproduction of noosphere orientation, reflecting the unity of the natural (environmental), material and intangible (social) spheres of social reproduction. Prize of the Academies of Sciences of Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova in 2001. Author of more than 550 scientific papers, including about 30 monographs, manuals, dictionaries.
