The book is devoted to the cultural life of Russian diaspora in China in the 1920-40s - the period of spiritual rise of the first post-revolutionary emigration wave. On the basis of new archival sources and materials, the author continues to look into the issue showing unknown sides of Russians spiritual life in exile. The role that Russian culture, literature, and Orthodox church played in the fates of Russian intelligentsia, the importance of Russian schools in education and training of young emigrants, and a valuable contribution of Russian scientists to the science and culture development of the north-east Chineses are considered.
