The collection presents the history and culture of Zavialovsk region of Altai, acquainting the reader with the current socio-economic situation in the region, the history of some branches of industry and enterprises, computer maps of settlements in this territory (a special place-name glossary is compiled), the most interesting archaeological monuments, and general data concerning the development of the region in different periods. Special attention is paid to World War II. The book includes the updated list of all the residents of Zavialovsk region, who didn't come back from that war. All the material is given with reference to the documents of the Central archival collection of Altai region. Numerous photographs from this collection and personal archives are presented. The collection is supplemented with the bibliography of recommended reading about Zavialovsk region.
