The “Russian Prose” collection (1926) is a creative report about the work of a same-name seminar, which was held at the State Institute of History of Arts in 1924-1926, and was headed by Yury Tynyanov and Boris Eikhenbaum. That was the debut of Russian formalists of the “second wave”, followed by a quick crisis and break up of the trend, which had recently arisen. The re-edition is supplemented with two articles, where the authors of the miscellany show themselves as qualified experts in the literary process of the 1920s.
