The edition is dated to the 100th anniversary of the prominent Russian prose writer Veniamin Kaverin (1902-1989). The first volume includes autobiographic trilogy "Osveshchennye okna" ("Illumined Windows") narrating about the beginning of the writer's creative way. The second one represents a logical continuation of the trilogy and in a way an epilogue to Kaverin's creative activity.
