The protagonists in the stories are closely connected with their own profession, which they satisfy and determine, but also often complicates. Regardless of whether they are musicians, painters or lawyers, they all live in their own worlds that define their slaves, while at the same time restricting their view. The protagonist in the story The wedding organizer is one of the few who deletes the slaves in his life and is thus freed; most of the other edges go beyond when life goes over. Natalija Simunovc's stories do not let us go, they lead us to the end and beyond, leaving us always enough room for reflection, all of which are characteristics of good prose.
