The proceedings of the Conference provide an overview of most of contemporary research of young scientists on issues associated with hydrology, hydrophysics. hydrobiology, hydrochemistry, paleolimnology, geography and modeling. The present volume is the continuation of a long series of the previous events held by Scientific-Educational Center of Northern Water Problems Institute of Karelian Research Centre of RAS since 2007 with the support of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Petrozavodsk Stale University and the Russian Geographical Society. Over the years the Conference has significantly expanded its membership, and now contains contribution from more than 50 educational and scientific organizations of Russia and foreign countries.
The event is initiated as an open forum for researchers working on different topics of water resources and to promote interactions among talented young people in the sphere of science and education in close cooperation with domestic and foreign institutions of higher education and research organizations.
The Conference organized within the framework of the celebration of the 25" anniversary of the Northern Water Problems Institute of Karelian Research Centre of RAS and 70th anniversary of Karelian Research Center of RAS.
