The book is dedicated to the memory of Mikola Kupreev (1937-2004), a talented Belarusian writer, laureate of the Arkady Kuleshov Literary Prize. Through the memories and mentions of the author's relatives, friends, and fellow countrymen, the colorful personality of the poet-thinker, the poet-traveler with a "crane heart", closely connected to his native Polesie land, emerges.
The book also includes poems by Mikola Kupreev that were not included in his lifetime poetry collections, letters, and one of his last stories.
The publication is timed to the 20th anniversary of the author's death.
