The proposed book includes correspondence between orientalist Vladimir Shileiko, great Russian poetess Anna Akhmatova (his former wife) and expert on history of Western-European art Vera Andreeva (his last wife). The letters reflect feelings of the famous people, their inner world, attitude to life and quite complicated relations existing between them. The book is not a collection of ordinary letters; some of them can be considered as unique literary works. Photographs of the people and their friends supplement the edition.
