Vis-a-vis is an existential situation in which we are exposed to someone or something. In the case of this book of interviews, the first is the meaning of a partnership dialogue when someone asks and another answers. At the same time, there is a mutual free choice to face, in a literal way, face to face with music, especially contemporary music in its various forms and manifestations. The following Julius Fujak dialogues with Slovak and Czech music composers, musicians, music-and-intermedia artists and theoreticians were created with only one exception during the last ten years and were originally published mostly in Vlna, a magazine on contemporary art and culture.
