"Vileika Pavet" is a historical and local history yearbook that introduces the history of a particular region - Vileyshchyna. These are places that historically belonged to the larger and more ancient region - Vilenchina. On the pages of the publication you will get acquainted with the research of A. Steburako, V. Zhibul, A. Koptyug and others. The issue presents the materials of S. Makarevich, V. Tonkavich, A. Danilchik, which reveals the history of Vileyshchyna in the interwar period. A number of other texts are also published here.
Sergei Makarevich spoke about several episodes from the life of the poet Maxim Tank. In 1939 he was sent to Vileyka to work in the regional newspaper. He came here with the bride. But Tank Vileyk remembered not only pleasant moments: he and his relatives were threatened with repression. But there was a patron who saved the poet. Archivist Viktor Zhybul continues to publish the legacy of the Nashenivets Wulf of Sosenskag. This time he found the memories of Sosenskag, covering the period from 1892 to 1939. This is the "subjective chronicle of Dolginovo." Ilya Butov, finding references to the miraculous icon from the church in the village of Pakhomova, began to search for the image itself. The problem is that the village disappeared more than forty years ago - it was flooded during the construction of the Vileika reservoir. And the inhabitants were settled. Butov began collecting information about Pakhomov in documents, looking for former villagers. He managed to conduct an entire investigation.
