The seventeenth volume of the publication contains biographical information about natives of all regions of the Novgorod region: about front-line soldiers, as well as newly revealed or updated data on defenders of the Fatherland who fell during the Great Patriotic War. New information is given about the Heroes of the Soviet Union associated with the Novgorod Region by a military biography.
This volume contains articles and essays, the publications of which are dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, including the sniper Lydia Gudovantseva, who fought on the North-Western Front, the brothers Vladimir and Anatoly, natives of the village of Uglovka, Okulovsky district Koblikovyh and others.
Biographical data on the front-line soldiers of the region will be included in the all-Russian publication “Soldiers of Victory”, which will become a worthy monument to the victors of Nazism. The book is intended for veterans, participants in military conflicts and their relatives, researchers, students and university professors, students, local historians, for anyone interested in the history of their native land.
