In the book you will find documents and testimonies of Levski's supporters, associates and contemporaries, as well as the comments and opinions of authoritative researchers of Bulgarian history.
And yet, the publication of "Investigation of a Betrayal" has a specific purpose. In today's times of unlimited freedom of speech, even educated and intelligent people cite assumptions and excerpts taken out of context in Wikipedia, are convinced that Levski was a Freemason or are sure that the guards caught him by chance in the Kukrin Inn. Bulgaria has no greater son than the Apostle of Freedom, and few are such personalities in world history, so the suggestions of frivolous or frankly manipulative claims about his capture are more than ridiculous. The materials for this investigation were collected thanks to the great Bulgarian historian Tsocho V. Bilyarski, former director of the Central State Archives. In it you will find documents and testimonies of Levski's supporters, associates and contemporaries, as well as the comments and opinions of authoritative researchers of Bulgarian history: Professor Paraskev Stoyanov, Danail Katsev-Burski and Dimitar Strashimirov.
