This issue is dedicated to “Soviet Export” magazine which had been published from 1957 to 1989 in six languages and was distributed in 120 countries. Its advertisements aimed to demonstrate the success of Soviet industry and benefits of the socialist system rather than to generate higher sales figures. The magazine gave its contributors a wide area for creative experimentation. This fact attracted the best artists and photographers of that time: Mikhail Anikst, Boris Bass, Nikolay Litvinov, Igor Ter-Arakelyan, Mikhail Shvartsman, and others.
