A facsimile publication of the unique artistic and documentary monument of the Russian Avant-Garde of the 20s of the XXth century. Unovis, the brotherhood of young artists, the followers of supremacism, was the major creation of K.Malevich in Vitebsk. The first avant-garde book of Unovis was published in 1920 in 5 typewritten copies, but only two of them survived till the present day (one belongs to the Tretiakov Gallery, the other is in a private collection in Paris). This facsimile publication is printed only in 300 copies. The copies 1-100 are collection rarities and are especially valued, each copy of the successive hundred aims at a wider audience and is more accessible in price. Now the reader has a chance to grasp the essence and fundamental ideas of the artistic trend of supremacism, the pedagogical system of Malevich, original ideas on the abstract in music and poetry. All these issues are grounded on over 160 pages of authentic size and design containing articles, manifestoes, lithographs, watercolors and declarations by Malevich, Lisitski, Kruchenyh, Matushin, Kogan and other world famed artists, which are collected in the present 300-copies almanac.
