On the basis of archival materials Ukrainian legal press of Volyn', Polissie, Kholmshchyna and Pidliashshia is analyzed. In 1917-1939 these regions were parts of the Polish Republic, and in 1941-1944 - parts of the Central province and Reich commissariat. Development of the press and its place in national liberation movement, in cultural and economic life of Ukraine are shown in the book.
