The purpose of this work was to document the events about which the authors of the traditional Turgenev stories told (Turgenev stories are from the name of the village, and not from the name of the great writer I.S. Turgenev) and look somewhat more broadly at the history of the past. The basis of all work was a scholarly search: a huge number of archival documents on the history of the village were studied for the main historical sites and events associated with these historical monuments and the name of I.S. Turgenev, with the main legends of this village that took place in local history.
