This is the first book to provide historical and cultural data about 70 settlements along the Tsar’s road. This was the name of the roads from Moscow Kremlin to the Savvino-Storozhevsky monastery in Zvenigorod presently named as Arbat, Kutuzov Avenue, Mozhaisk and Rublevo-Uspensky Highway. This road was glorified by Alexander Pushkin in poetry, Petr Chaikovskiy in music, and Isaac Levitan in painting. The information of the book is added with some stories describing the places and events related to the Tsar’s road.
