The collection represents results of many-year researches on traditional culture of the Perm peasantry of the XVIIth - early XXIst century, conducted in Moscow University. The significance of the above studies consists in a richness of material obtained in the result of discovery of the Old Believers' region in the Upper Kama (Vereshchagino, Siva and Ocher districts of the Perm' Region and the Kez District of Udmurtia). Added to everything else, the issue comprises works in the history of the Old Belief in Udmurtia, Perm' Region, Baltic States and Moscow.
