The primary objective of the highly decorated issue is to study extensively the development of the folk clothes of the Samara Territory (Russian (including Cossack), Tatar, Chuvash, Mordvin, Ukrainian and Mari clothing) from the angle of historical transformation of its traditional forms, which existed in the XIXth century till its present-day appearance, evidenced by the author's research. Data on the clothing of each of the peoples of the Samara Territory are represented in the form of textual and technological descriptions, accompanied with numerous color and black-and-white photographs and drawings.
