The present collection joins scientific works reflecting the main directions in the research work carried out by the Department of the Newest Russian history of Kemerovsk State University. The problems of economic, social and political development of the Kuznietsk Basin are viewed in the context of general regularities in the Russian newest history. The authors tried to analyze and to generalize historical experience of the region taking into consideration new approaches in methodology of research works.
