Artist Indre Agne Kazdayite, under the pseudonym AGNES INDRE, illustrated children's books. She mainly created for older children and teenagers. She was most fascinated by the human face, its portrait expression, and the characteristics of characters. She was one of the most original creators of children's book illustrations in Lithuania, who developed creative maturity and filled her illustrations with unbridled imaginative play and fantasy. In her work, we clearly see the influence of surrealism and nonsense aesthetics. Her best illustrations for classic books are almost unknown to us, as they were published by foreign publishers. Her high artistic preparation was noticed in Bologna, when the works she sent were selected for the Bologna children's book illustration exhibitions of 1990 and 1994. Although the creative path of artist Agne Indre Kazdayite was not easy, the results achieved at the end of the 20th century allow her to be classified as classics of Lithuanian book art.
