The book “Mirror of Theology” by Kyrylo Tranquillion Stavrovetskyi (Pochayiv 1618) is the first critiical edition of a monument of theological thought and Ukrainian language. The book contains a dedication to Volhynian government official [chashnyk] Leontii Dryvynskyi, a preface to the readers and an original exposition of the fundamental postulates of the Christian faith of an early 17th century Kyivan Church father. The monument was published in Middle Ukrainian literary language of the period.
This edition includes a facsimile copy, a transcribed text, its scholarly study, and an index of words and forms.
