This monographic study characterizes Komi drama of the 1990–2000s. The main attention is paid to the work of playwrights who had the greatest influence on the formation of the newest drama at the turn of the century – G. Yushkov, A. Popov, O. Ulyashev. The work also сconsiders gender aspects of Komi women's drama – plays by N. Kuratova, E. Kozlova, N. Obrezkova, V. Lekanova. The monograph presents an analysis of works reflecting the artistic and experimental nature of Komi drama at the turn of the XX–XXI centuries.
