The monograph is dedicated to a complex analysis of the USA social policy, specificity of its formation and realization on all the government levels in different periods of its development. On the basis of a large range of sources, the author shows, that socio-economic development includes such an inalienable element as the activity of the state aimed at regulation of different social groups’ interaction, providing social and economic human rights and guarantees, as well as providing social security of the nation in whole, taking into account age, tender, racial and ethnic, historical and cultural factors. Special attention is paid to the role of the state and rise of competitiveness of the population, able to work, in the context of globalizing knowledge economy.
