The monograph is devoted to the modern a cappella choral texture as an integral system with its characteristic thesaurus and new features of postmodernity.In the second half of the 20th century, when composers began to actively experiment, including with sound, the choral sound, despite the stereotypes that had been established for centuries, began to rapidly transform. In search of expressiveness, composers update textured techniques, open up new timbre possibilities of the chorus, and find a previously unknown content potential in the properties of sound. The analysis is carried out on the basis of the material of Eastern European composers, including Belarusian ones.
