The collection comprises all the documents about handing over the museum’s pictures for export from 1928 till June, 1929. These are reports, correspondence, statements, lists of assessments, as well as materials from personal archive funds of the Hermitage experts V.F.Levinson-Lessing and S.P.Yaremich, which make it possible to see the events from the contemporaries’ point of view. The supplement contains the return statements of the pictures, which were not purchased and were returned from “Antiques” to the Hermitage in 1931-1937. Most of the documents is published for the first time.
