The monograph is devoted to the study of the problems of the rural social sphere, the state of social services in a market economy. The public opinion of rural residents about social services and determination of optimal parameters of satisfaction with the living environment in rural settlements is analyzed. Barriers to further improvement of the social sphere have been identified and recommendations and directions for its development have been proposed.
