This is a historical novel covering a broad period of Russia’s history from 1240 to 1303. It restores events of an uneasy life of Grand Duke Fedor Mozhaisky, Yaroslavsky and Smolensky till the moment of his death in 1299. The book depicts invasion of Khan Batyi in Russia, close relations of the Grand Duke with the Khan of the Golden Horde, first christening of Tatar princess and other activities of Duke Fedor and his followers which helped to avoid genocide of Russian people.
