The book presents the history of the Orthodox Church situated in the luxurious district of Paris in rue Darue, between the Tern square and the Monso Park, and also the history of the parish of this church. In his work based on the archival materials kept at the church of Alexander Nevsky, the author begins from far away – the story about the relations of Moscow tsars with France. Separate chapters are dedicated to the interior life of the church, its charitable and cultural activity on the territory of France, imperial and state celebrations in the temple of Alexander Nevsky.
