A theoretical review of the problems of corporate governance was prepared. Consideration was given to the problems of the interaction between corporate ownership and corporate management, the mechanisms of confrontation and cooperation within a corporation. An important aspect of the research is to investigate the regional specific features of the formation of the corporate-governance model in Russia. The investigation is based on regional legislation study and on an economic analysis of the grounds of enterprises from different regions.
