The collection of scientific articles is intended to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the senior researcher of the Institute of History and Archeology of the Baltic Region of Klaipeda University, associate professor of archaeology, Audrone Bliujiene. Her main research interests include the study of Iron Age societies. These are excavations of burial monuments, metallographic research of finds, studies of jewelry ornamentation, prehistoric amber, archival archeology. A. Bliujiene's contribution in these areas is well known not only in Lithuania, but also outside of it. Prominent Baltic and Iron Age researchers from Lithuania, Poland and Germany present the results of recent research into the problems of the development of the tribes that lived in the region in articles specially prepared for this publication.
