The work is devoted to the history of Russian peasantry during the period from agricultural crisis at the beginning of the XXth century till the total collectivization. Main attention is paid to Stolypin's reforms, their origins, ideological preconditions and realization as well as to the struggle of opinions and political parties connected with these reforms.
