This two-volume edition is a publication of the results of archaeological studies in the territory of the ground necropolis of the Town of Tamis (excavation XVIII, square 5-8). The archaeological excavations were protective and rescue, because the site of their implementation was planned to accommodate a museum complex. The work was carried out in 2012. The publication contains materials of 737 burials and 103 objects, dating from the III-II centuries BC to the VI-VII centuries AD. The first volume contains a research description of the studied complexes; in the second volume an album of illustrations is placed. Author: Bespaly Gennady Evgenievich is an archaeologist of the Don Heritage Research Institute.
