Artur Pina was born in 1974 in Sanza Pombo, Province of Uije. He took the Training Course of Teachers at the Instituto Medio Normal de Educacao (IMNE) in Uije (1990-1992); studied Philosophy (1993-1995) and Theology (1996-2001) in the Seminários Maior Diocesano de S. Paulo in Uíje and Arquidiocesano do Sagrado Coração de Jesus in Luanda. He became a Priest in Uíje in 2002, and was also a Spiritual Director at the Arquidiocesano do Sagrado Coração de Jesus de Luanda. He graduated from the Pontifical Urban University, Italy (2006-2008), where he also obtained a MA in Philosophy with the dissertation "A Superação do Ser Violento, conforme o método filosófico de Eric Wei", that was published later on by Mayamba Editora. Currently, he is the Rector of the "Seminário Maior de S. Paulo do Uíje" and a Professor of Philosophy at the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences (ISCED / Uíje).
