At the beginning of the twentieth century, Hinko Smrekar published a series of ridiculous rides in a series of ridiculous hymns in several paintings that were directed against the local clerics and the Catholic Church in general with the main hero, the fat and greedy parish priest. In 1914, on the eve of the Great War, he painted a satirical protostrip. An extremely interesting example of elephantiaze, with which he frowned upon German nationalism, moralism and petty-bourgeoisism, and after the end of the world, he published a richly illustrated anti-militarist booklet, Crnovojnik.
