This remarkable edition was created by Vsevolod Ivanovich Sakharov, a distinguished Russian scientist, literary critic and publicist, Doctor of Philology, a well-known lecturer on the Russian literature in various universities of Italy and Venice. The offered edition sheds light on masonry against a background of the Russian literature of the XVIIIth - the beginning of the XIXth century. V.Sakharov views the poetry and prose of Russian masons, their literary genres and styles; certain attention is paid to the creative work of the most vivid representatives of Russian masonry, such as A.Pushkin, N.Karamzin. The edition contains some fascinating illustrations.
