"The Facets of Culture" is one of the most important works published in Ukraine in the late 1970's. It is a collection of three separate essays: "The Facets of Culture", "The Dissident Movement" and "The Tree of National Tasks". The author, a prominent member of the Ukrainian national movement, who has spent many years in Soviet Russia, offers an in-depth analysis of the position not only of the Ukrainian culture, but of the whole Ukrainian nation, in the conditions of Soviet Russian occupation. He gives an accurate evaluation of the vast power and the goals of the Soviet Russian regime, whose forces were aimed at the complete annihilation of the Ukrainian nation and its annexation to Russia.
