The authors of the monograph narrate about cooperative societies organized by peasants of the Bukovina region of Ukraine at the end of the 1880s and at the beginning of the XXth century. Ideological principles of village cooperative societies are analyzed in the book, as well as main reasons of their organization. The positive role of such societies in economic life of the country is underlined. The authors make proposals to improve village cooperation in Ukraine under modern conditions.
