Fourteen peoples of Soviet Russia were entirely deprived of their rights and sent to Siberia, Kazakhstan and the Far North. This was political exile. Nearly two million Russian Germans were deprived of their freedom and deported. The Kalmyks, the Crimean Tatars, and several peoples of the Caucasus also were removed from their Motherland. The book describes in detail the system of terror and the life of the people in conditions of the XXth-century slavery.
