The book presents a cycle of 100 illustrations of the Russian artist Alexander Alexeyev (1901-1982), who spent the greater part of his life in France. For the first time the illustrations accompany the original text of F.Dostoyevsky’s novel “The Brothers Karamazov”. Alexeyev’s lithographs were first published in 1929 in Paris and have never appeared since then.
