"The Book of the Born ones" is a unique project in which, on the basis of the 19th-20th century church record books of the village of Kryvorivny, author Oksana Lebedivna created a Hutsul saga about the fates of people who survived traumatic historical experiences: the Opryshok movement, the First and Second World Wars, a partisan, a Soviet occupation, repressions, Russia's modern war against Ukraine.
In this book the names of the poems are entries from metrical books in their Latin and Ukrainian transliteration, which transports us to the events of those years and paints a psychological portrait of Ukrainians.
