The art section of the Kultur-Lige played a special role in the bright and rich history of Jewish art of the XXth century. It's very important that neither in terms of audacity and extent of the group's conceptions, nor in extensive and convincing nature of implementation of these concepts, nor finally, in terms of uniqueness of the Kultur-Lige's best artists, did it have an analogy among other groups of Jewish artists of that time. The concrete objective of the book is to give a representative view of the works of those Arts Section members of the Kultur-Lige who worked in Moscow and Kiev, such as Mark Sheikhel, Nathan Altman, Leo Halperin, David Shterenberg and others.
