The monograph examines the work of the Karachay-Balkar poet Magomet Khasuevich Mokaev (1939-2006) in a broad historical and literary context. The aesthetic basis of the work is determined: typological connections with the artistic and philosophical heritage of the poets of the sixties. The work traces the evolution of the artist's creative path, notes his contribution to the development of spiritual culture, outlines the developments in improving the poetic style and updating the genre component of Karachay-Balkar poetry. The application of the basic principles of analysis to the study of the literary heritage of the writer made it possible to determine the specifics of the creative manner, explore the poetics of the classic's works, and comprehensively present the artistic model of the world.
