The collection contains 116 documents of the last will of residents of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, introduced in the assembly book of county courts of Brest, Vitebsk and Minsk, Novgorod, Slonimsky counties and Mogilev for 1559-1600 years. The publication is accompanied by the text of the testament deployed front and geographical indication Dictionary. The language of the overwhelming majority of documents - old Belarusian, some testament written in Old Polish language. Collection - the result of years of work of employees of department of Ancient Acts NIAB: head of department Olga Vladimirovna Bobkov, the head archivist Irina Mironovna Beaver, Chief palaeographer Albina Frantsevna Alexandrova. Testament (will) - a unique historical source of information content. Testament reflects the denominational affiliation of man, his property status, family structure, level of education. They perfectly illustrate the attitude to life and death, to his family, to the posthumous memory. It is testament to refer to a small category of documents, which clearly is the voice of the then human.
