In the two monographs an attempt to consider political conflicts through a prism of present-day reality as well as through the themes of terrorism is carried out. The work represents search for an answer to the question "what" instead of the question "how" with reference to terrorism. The main goals of the present research are to show origins of existing political conflicts and to make an attempt to find possible ways of the so-called crises' settlement. The authors of the book analyze the situation in the European continent, which is in the sphere of their professional interests. In the first volume Spain and particularly Basque country were taken as an example due to the fact that it illustrates the most vivid picture of political conflicts. The second volume considers ethno-political situation in Europe and in general around the world in historical and culturological aspects in order to point out the roots of ethnic and confession conflicts.
