The book tells about the history of the temple ensemble preserved in the village. Zacachye near the village. Yemetsk (Kholmogorsk district of the Arkhangelsk region), mainly about the wooden St. Nicholas Church (1686). in 1910-1914 the building was restored under the supervision of engineer A.A. Karetnikov, and the work was carried out at such a high scientific level that at one time it became the standard of restoration work in Russia.
The Nikolskaya Church is one of the last monuments of northern architecture, built in the 17th century, that have survived on the territory of the Arkhangelsk Region. This is also the last example of the architectural style. This is a visible, tangible and rarest monument of restoration work in Russia.
Nikolskaya Church is an object of cultural heritage of Russia of federal significance.
