The book invites the reader to take a journey to the magic world of culture of one of the Eastern Khant groups - Nyorym Yah ("the Marsh People"). All of the tales were collected in the course of ethnographic expedition to the Tromyegan Basin, organized by the Surgut Museum of Local Lore. Decorated with stylish drawings and photos of Nyorym Yah dolls, the texts of the folk tales are introduced both in Russian and English.
