Zaur Dakhte is a famous camera man, photo artist, honoured worker of culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, laureate of numerous competitions on different film festivals. He was born in Dagestan in 1936 in Makhachkala and more than 60 years leaves in Dushanbe. In 1955-1958 he lived and studied in Ivanovo in an international boarding school. On return he started working in the "Tajikfilm" film studio. Then Zaur studied in Moscow at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography and worked in the film studio, where he, the theird-year student, became a professional camera man. Th work with the famous producer Kimyagarov held a special place in creative work of Z. Dakhte and resulted in such films like "A man changes a skin" and "Rustam and Sugrob". Z. Dakhte made more than 600 documentary films including two amazing films about the famous Soviet ballet dancer Malika Sobirova- "Malika" and "Our Malika".
