Systemic and new problems, risks and opportunities for economic, including sustainable, development of the Russian Arctic are considered. An analysis of the features, trends and prospects of industrial production in the Russian Arctic is given, on the basis of which problems and the specifics of the functioning of single-industry towns are identified.
